Virginia Missing Children Resources

Virginia State Police and other agencies join forces when a child is reported missing in Virginia. They publish photos and personal information on each missing child. Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse is linked to all Virginia law enforcement agencies the FBI, all U.S. police agencies through the National Crime Information Center and all children's clearinghouses through computer hookups with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The Virginia Child Amber Alert website broadcasts information immediately when a child goes missing. This emergency alert system could help recover a missing child. The Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force or Operation Blue Ridge Thunder is proactive and is diligently working to apprehend perpetrators, protect potential victims, and educate parents, teachers and children about Internet safety.
